The Why "It Depends" Podcast
About the WID Podcast
This podcast is an exploration into the anatomical and physiological mechanisms and nuances behind different approaches in the fitness and therapy industries. We want to bridge the gap and open conversations between different schools of thought and practices within the rehabilitative and physical performance sector. This is all in hopes to discover and educate ourselves and our listeners on the commonalities and differences within each approach. We felt dissatisfied with the answer we kept running into; "it depends," without further context limiting our pursuit to understand rehabilitative and performance sciences. We want to take that answer a step further and discover the complexities of creating change in the human body to better communicate “why it depends”.

Stefan began his journey in the Health and Fitness field as an athlete in gymnastics, martial arts and rugby. Through his love for sports and interest in performance, he devoted his educational career to pursue a better understanding of what it took to rehabilitate injuries and improve athleticism. After studying Health and Fitness Promotion in college and Kinesiology in university, Stefan continued his education in Osteopathy to better serve the athletes and clients that he worked with. Having 9 years experience working with individual athletes, teams, and general population clients as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach, youth athletics became a primary area of interest. His focus has shifted to the rehabilitation side of things in his private practice as an Osteopathic Manual Therapist but his interests in fitness and performance keep him busy with continual learning opportunities. Outside of his professional interests, Stefan enjoys learning about nature, its many forces and how they relate and reflect in our own bodies. Asking questions and diving deeper into the, systems, patterns, and possibilities of these relationships keeps his mind curious and open to new ideas.
